E-commerce and EDI are supposed to make things easier but getting there can be painful. The Buyer’s Coach is a service whereby we help you, the buyer, select candidates from the EC EDI Vendor Directory who can fulfill your needs.
We have expert knowledge of the vendors and will help you make the right choice. It’s well worth the investment, especially if you are not comfortable speaking in E-commerce / EDI terms or dealing with vendors.
Here’s how the Buyer’s Coach works:

Obtain a copy of the EC EDI Vendor Directory.

Determine how much coaching time you would like to purchase. The cost is $24.95 per 15 minute increment.

Submit a Coaching Request. We’ll need to know how much time you want to purchase and when to schedule your first coaching session. We’ll confirm a date and time along with payment instructions.

Familiarize yourself with the contents of theEC EDI Vendor Directory and prepare a list of questions to ask your coach.

At the mutually agreed date and time, a coach will call you. He/she will ask you a series of questions to get a better understanding of your needs. Have the list of questions you prepared earlier ready. Your coach will recommend up to three vendors listed in the directory that you can contact.

Using the Vendor RFI, send a request to one or more vendors and await their response. You must deal with the vendors directly at all times, as your coach is not permitted to contact vendors on your behalf.

When you need more assistance, send an e-mail to coach@ec-edi.biz and schedule your next coaching session. This is your next opportunity to ask more questions and receive feedback and advice prior to making a final buying decision.
Additional sessions with the Coach can be purchased at any time.
